ABOUT:
When Corban was just 10-years-old, he joined his father as a first responder in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Ever since that experience, he has been captured by the needs of those in distress and want. That love drives him to be the youngest member of the Hope Gate leadership team. Corban is in college pursuing a Music degree and has also embarked on a Missiology Global Studies program.
Corban is a growing young leader with an impressive track record of missions and music. At just 18 months old, he started Kindermusik. By third grade he was receiving private guitar lessons and started playing drums in church at 10. When he was 13, he began playing bass guitar for his home church and continues playing multiple instruments with them to this day. It did not take long for Corban to discover his love for the electric guitar; while he can still play bass and drums, guitar continues to be his instrument of choice. He teaches clinics for music teams, works with and leads church bands and assists in the arrangement of songs. He also feels honored to be traveling with an impressive band based out of his home church.
Along with his love of music, Corban has a passion for humanitarian work. Corban has always enjoyed being his dad’s right hand man in humanitarian efforts starting with Hurricane Katrina. He has been on an emergency response team delivering generators and fuel to churches along the east coast of Florida after hurricanes Rita and Wilma. At the age of 14, he was instrumental in raising funds to support 63 children in the nation of Rwanda. In 2015, at the age of 20, he personally funded a furniture-making workshop in Haiti which today employs 5 to 10 Haitian men. He is also involved in financially supporting a school in Haiti that serves 300 of the poorest of children.
