Byron graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 2006 with a degree in Business Management. In 2014, Byron graduated from the Personal Financial Planning Program at the University of California Davis in Sacramento, and in March 2015, upon passing the CFP® exam, he was admitted to the Certified Financial Planner Board’s list of licensed CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioners.
After almost two decades spanning work in both the chapter 13 bankruptcy and financial advisory arenas, Byron is working to launch his own Financial Planning practice, which will be structured with an emphasis on meeting the needs of people in “transitional phases” of life.
In 2016, Byron made multiple trips to Brazil in order to connect with leaders from organizations engaged in missional and humanitarian work. Byron believes that through this network of leadership, Hope Gate and its sponsors can become the nexus that effectively bridges “the gap between have and need” to the underserved in Brazil.
Byron, Joleen, and their children also have the pleasure of participating in the call to the Missio Dei by serving one of America’s top five most ethnically diverse communities alongside and through the extension ministries of their church, The Rock Church, in Elk Grove, California.
